Extend Fertility is now participating with major insurance carriers

Since the first day we opened our doors, we’ve been focused on making life-changing fertility care more accessible. It’s why we’ve kept our egg freezing cycle cost at 40% lower than the national average and why we offer free fertility assessments and doctor consultations to egg & embryo freezing patients without insurance coverage.

It’s also why we’re excited to announce that we’re accepting Cigna, GHI, and UnitedHealthcare Oxford—with additional carriers to come (stay tuned!).

Combined with New York State’s new IVF and fertility preservation coverage mandate—which states that large group insurance plans must cover three IVF cycles and that all insurance plans must cover medically necessary egg freezing—this change means fertility preservation and treatment is now within reach for thousands more women and couples. (If you’re not sure if your plan covers IVF under the new mandate, the easiest way to find out is to give them a call.)

We’re also remaining part of the WINFertility and Progyny employer networks.

Why choose Extend Fertility?

If you have insurance coverage, you may have a few providers to choose from for your fertility treatments. So why go with us?

  • We’re the largest egg freezing practice in the nation. Since we opened in 2016, we’ve frozen over 27,000 eggs in 2,500+ cycles—making us the largest egg freezing practice in the United States. We were also the first practice to focus on delivering dedicated egg freezing services. Suffice it to say we know what we’re doing.
  • We were founded on changing the way fertility care is delivered. We believe that no one should fear what they don’t know about their own fertility, and we share a passion for delivering fertility education and treatment in a more caring and transparent way. Just ask one of our patients—we call them our “Extended Family.”

“Incredible experience. Supportive, personalized, and unlike the other places in NYC that are more expensive and less accessible. From start to finish, Extend Fertility made this process smooth, transparent, and positive.”

  • We’ve got a best-in-class lab—which can make a huge difference to your success. The quality of a clinic’s laboratory (and the experience and care of its laboratory team) makes a huge difference in your chance of success with IVF, with a high-quality lab improving chances by up to 200%. Our lab is completely cutting-edge, with an amazing team to back it up. Learn more about choosing an egg freezing lab.
